Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro
Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. is a local distribution company responsible for distributing electricity to 80,000 homes and businesses within the City of Kitchener and the Township of Wilmot. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Kitchener Power Corporation, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. is focused on providing a safe and reliable supply of electricity to its customers.
Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro’s control centre required a monitor wall that would allow the display of multiple windows of information quickly with reliability and ease in use. Applied Electronics was contracted to design, supply and install a 2x3 array of 50” rear projection screens with 6 Christie Digital CX50 projectors and an FRC 5100 controller. Used with their existing surveillance software, the display wall facilitates 24/7 monitoring of their power grid.
