ATCO Electric serves more than 182,000 customers in northern and east-central Alberta – resource rich areas of the province where electricity is an essential component of industrial development. ATCO Electric is headquartered in Edmonton and has 37 service offices throughout its service area in Alberta to operate and maintain its vast system of transmission and distribution lines. It delivers power to homes, farms and businesses, in cities, towns, Native reserves and Metis settlements – more than 200 communities in all.

Applied Electronics designed, supplied and built the largest control room projection wall in Western Canada for ATCO Electric’s northern Alberta region Operations Centre. The video wall, composed of a 3x5 array of 67-inch (diagonal) rear projection display screens measuring 22 feet wide and 10 feet high, featured high resolution projectors and a 16-channel projection controller. Upon completion in January 2006, ATCO’s own facilities group utilized the structure to secure acoustic panels to finish the rough opening.
