CanWest Global Television Sprinters
Applied Electronics and Frontline Communications proudly unveiled the first of the three Sprinter DSNG News vans for CanWest Global Television.
Sprinters were delivered to CHCH in Hamilton in February 2006 and CICT in Calgary in March 2006. The DSNG/ENG combo News vehicles carry 1.5m Vertex/AVL antenna systems and Nucomm microwave transmitters. They were delivered fully integrated with customer-specific production equipment from a wide spectrum of Applied Electronics’ suppliers. The vehicle conversions, DSNG systems, masts and RF gear were done by Frontline Communications before the vans were delivered to Applied Electronics for production equipment integration. CHAN Vancouver took delivery of a turnkey ENG Sprinter in March 2006.
In addition to these, an ENG Sprinter was delivered to CTV Kitchener (CKCO) in January 2006, and a 34-foot, 8-rack modular SNG production truck was delivered to CTV Ottawa (CJOH) in spring 2006.
