YLE FINLAND - TELEVISION BROADCAST SUITES

YLE is Finland’s national public service broadcasting company. YLE operates five national television channels and thirteen radio channels and services complemented by 25 regional radio programmes. The public considers YLE to be a reliable source of news and current affairs. The company plays a major role in producing and presenting programmes dealing with national arts, educational programmes and children’s programmes. YLE’s services to the public also cover special and minority groups.

YLE is the government broadcaster for Finland and has the rights to all the Olympic Games through EBU (European Broadcast Union). In Athens, Greece, they broadcasted 200 hours of game coverage in two languages, Finish and Swedish. AEL has supplied and installed their broadcast facilities since the Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA. The facility includes a production control, VTR area studio, master control, 3 edit suites, and 3 voice over booths along with 5-7 ENG kits. They also shared a Grass Valley Trinix Router system with the NOP Group (SVT – Sweden, DK-Denmark and NRK-Norway).
