Citytv Toronto Weather Mobile
Viewers of Citytv Toronto can easily tell when meteorologist Michael Kuss is in the neighbourhood - thanks to his Saturn Hybrid Weather Mobile, built by Applied Electronics’ integration team.
Michael's on-scene weather reporting is supported by a remote weather sensor that easily fastens to a custom roof bracket. The sensor output is visible on a high-bright VGA monitor mounted in the right rear window. It delivers real-time temperature, wind, pressure, and precipitation readings. All the gear stows neatly in a custom rear cabinet that holds it secure for travel.
The weather mobile is an on-location favourite around the GTA and Michael makes good use of it in conjunction with Citytv's 3D:LIVE weather graphics system from Weather Central.
