HorsePlayer International Television (HPItv) is a subscription based specialty channel owned by Woodbine Entertainment Group and operates up to 5 feeds that broadcast live thoroughbred and standardbred racing from tracks across North America and around the world.

Completed in mid-October, Applied Electronics supplied and installed a new digital broadcast system into their Production Control Room and Central Equipment Room (CER) at Woodbine Racetrack, located in Toronto. They upgraded from analog to digital feeds with room for future advancement to HD. The new digital system includes Evertz multi-viewer, router and “glue”, AVP video jackfields, Soundcraft audio mixer, Tektronix waveform rasterizer, Telex intercom system, and four Sharp PN525 52” LCD monitors. The Master Control Room, which monitors 40 feeds, will be completed at the end of December 2009.
